Surgery for Laparoscopic Adjustable gastric banding

An adjustable gastric banding device for regulating the size of a stoma opening in the stomach of a patient includes an elongate band portion that encircles the stomach so as to limit the food intake.Laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding was first introduced in 1993 as a less invasive bariatric surgical procedure. This is a purely restrictive procedure .Normal plain film findings of laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding. A frontal projection shows the gastric band which forms a slightly steeper angle than the 45° angle with the spine; however, this was thought to be clinically acceptable.
